The 2016 Lacoste Borie is a great starting point if you’re interested in beginning an oenological voyage through the grands vins of Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste (a lifetime’s work, even by our standards).
Grapes for this super second wine are hand-picked and see at least 14 months ageing in around 30 % new oak. After a decade in bottle, the tannins have now softened beautifully, and the nose has taken on a spiciness alongside its distinctive blackcurrant character.
