Nothing adds a touch of excess to an evening like the ephemeral joy that comes with opening a bottle of Cristal, the cuvée created for Tsar Alexander II in 1876.

It’s simply a lavish, exquisite Champagne. Wine Enthusiast scored the vintage 100 points and Revue du vin de France gave it 20 out of 20. We were wowed – and we think you will be, too.

Islay, Scotland

Lagavulin’s full-bodied 16 Year Old delivers everything you could want from a single malt from Islay’s most acclaimed distillery. Indeed, for many it’s the quintessential expression of the island’s style. Peaty, powerful and smoky, it ticks every Scotch box.

Just like Islay itself, this whisky is wild and untamed. Unlock its secrets with a little splash of water and you’ll find the peat punch mellows to reveal sweeter notes of liquorice and dried fruits. With its intensity and long finish, it’s the perfect dram to slowly savour with a Cuban cigar at the end of an evening.

2011 saw the addition of a new letter to the Partagas Alphabet Series. The E means the cigar has a ring gauge of 54. A big cigar in size and taste with stylish new packaging... One of my favourites for a sunny afternoon.
